Description
I was hoping to submit a traffic/speed assessment request for W. 46th street in Forest Hill Terrace. Folks cut through on 46th street between Forest Hill and the Ashton Square apartments driving up to 45-50mph between stop signs. There are no continuous sidewalks on 46th st. which makes it even more dangerous for pedestrians/children since we all have to walk on the street. A couple speed bumps along 46th street would probably work.

- Staff · April 4, 202546th St between Forest Hill Ave and Bassett Ave stops at Forest Hill Ave, Dunston Ave, Reedy Ave and Bassett Ave. The 85th percentile speed is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The highest 85th percentile speed samples on 46th St measured 19mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets. Speed tables are not planned.
