Description

Yet another pet hit-and-run on this road. People are constantly speeding, and the road design does not help. Requesting a calming assessment and a future design to reduce speed, such as raised crosswalks (there are currently 0 crosswalks on this road from Jahnke to Midlothian Tpke), and more trees.

    Crosswalks alone are not adequate on this portion of German School Rd. This is part of the City's High Injury Network, and the Department is working on a combination of engineering, enforcement, and education responses to speed with partners including GRTC and Richmond Police Department. The city has received grant funding for systemic improvements and continues to apply for more regional and federal funding for safety projects.
