Description
I beg for there to be a new traffic table installed near or at this intersection. I live on this corner and cross this intersection daily and have been within inches of being hit and hurt by cars multiple times on a weekly basis. People drive near double the speed limit down this portion of main and I shouldnt be scared for my life crossing a two lane road. A raised crosswalk would also be nice. Please find another solution other than some green signs that people immediately run over. Thank you

- Staff · March 26, 2025The average speed sample on Main St between Vine St and Granby St is 26mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed limit. The last nine years of DMV crash data (1.1.16– 12.31.24) did not reveal any reported pedestrian crashes at the intersection of Main St and Allen Ave. Speed tables and raised crosswalks are not planned at this time. Ladder bar crosswalks are located on each intersection leg and curb extensions are on the east leg of Main St.
