- Staff · March 26, 2025The 85th percentile speed* is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed samples on Stratford Rd between Forest Hill Ave and Robert Bruce Dr measured between 21mph. The average speed was 18mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned. (*The 85th percentile speed is the speed at or below which 85 percent of the drivers will operate with open roads and favorable conditions. The assumption underlying the 85th percentile speed is that most drivers will operate their vehicle at speeds they perceive to be safe.)
