Description
My main concern is that the intersection of Malvern (4 lanes) and Monument (4 lanes + turning lane) does not have a designated turning lane. All other major Malvern intersections (Broad, Patterson, Grove, Cary) have turning lanes. You cannot see which cars are turning and which are going straight. With the addition of the bike land narrowing the need to merge is emergent. Please fix this, it's not safe or efficient.

- Staff · August 22, 2025Dear Citizen, Thank you for your message about the intersection of Malvern Avenue and Monument Avenue. We reviewed your request for a dedicated turning lane. Based on traffic volumes and the MUTCD guidelines, a separate turning lane is not needed at this intersection. Drivers have adequate sight lines, and lane markings allow for safe turning movements under current conditions. As no further action is needed at this time, this request will be closed. Thank you for helping us keep our roads safe.
