- Staff · March 13, 2025The 85th percentile speed*, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Rockfalls Dr between Granite Hall Ave and Riverside Dr measured 22 mph. The sample is in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned. (*The 85th percentile speed is the speed at or below which 85 percent of the drivers will operate with open roads and favorable conditions. The assumption underlying the 85th percentile speed is that most drivers will operate their vehicle at speeds they perceive to be safe.)
