- Staff · March 12, 2025The 85th percentile speed* sample on New Kent Ave between Westover Hills Blvd and the stop sign at Prince George Rd measured 23 mph. The samples are in good with the 25-mph posted speed. No traffic calming measures are currently planned. (*The 85th percentile speed is the speed at or below which 85 percent of the drivers will operate with open roads and favorable conditions. The assumption underlying the 85th percentile speed is that most drivers will operate their vehicle at speeds they perceive to be safe.)
