Description
Requesting a new Speed Table to be installed on Chellowe Rd. (red rectangle in attached picture) just north of the Exit of Southampton Recreation Association (yellow arrow pointing to the left in the picture). Currently drivers traveling south on Chellowe are driving at a high rate of speed near the exit of SRA's parking lot. This has caused several incidences & near misses in the past. A speed table just north of that exit would significantly slow traffic down and make that area much safer.

- Staff · April 24, 2025The average speed samples on Chellowe Rd between Marilea Rd and Prairie Rd for a typical weekday measured 15mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned at this time. DPW will install an advisory speed sign of 10mph on each approach to Southampton Recreation Association area.
