Description

It is dangerous to cross the street here which many people do to access the pulse stop or the captiol trail. I often see people sprint across 4 lanes of traffic rather than walk up to the light near Stone. I am concerned for pedestrian safety. I strongly urge the city to consider a clearly marked pedestrian walkway and stop signs at this intersection, which aligns with recent efforts to prioritize safety and walkers/bikers.

Williamsburg Avenue is four lanes wide and not controlled by a signal or stop sign at Orleans Street. The Department does not install crosswalks at uncontrolled intersections with high traffic volumes on the mainline. The Department will be performing a citywide Pedestrian Master Plan in the near future.
