DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of Bainbridge St and 14th St does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop. No parking zones are on both sides of Bainbridge St at 14th St eastbound (i.e., a No Parking sign on the north side and a fire hydrant (no parking by law) on the south side). These measures enhance the intersection sight distance. No changes in traffic controls are planned at this time. The Fire Marshall does not support any additional speed tables on Bainbridge St since this corridor is classified as a urban minor arterial and as a strategic route for emergency vehicles.
