Description
Request for speedbumbs (and/or raised crossings) to be added periodically down Arthur Ashe Blvd. Suggested at intersections of Monument, Main, and Hanover. Cars and Trucks go at least 10+ over at all times of day, and racing is common. Combining speedbumps as raised crossings at the suggested intersections would slow traffic and increase pedestrian safety in a very busy, walkable part of town. Currently BLVD can feel like a highway instead of a city road

- Staff · February 27, 2025Traffic calming measures such as speed tables on Arthur Ashe Boulevard are not supported by the Fire Marshall given this street is functionally classified as an Urban Principal Arterial, carries around 15,000 vehicles a day and a strategic route for emergency vehicles.
