Requesting speed humps on McCloy between Idlewood and Freeman. The very wide road with Double yellow line promote and invite speeding. Speed Humps closer to Carytown were helpful but this stretch of McCloy needs traffic calming measures as well.

- Staff · February 24, 2025- -McCoy St between the all-way stop at Idlewood Ave and Maplewood Ave. The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on McCloy St measured 25mph in a 25mph zone. Traffic calming is not currently planned. - - McCloy St between Maplewood Ave and Freeman Rd. The 85th percentile speed was higher as compared to the section between Idlewood Ave and Maplewood Ave. Speed tables on McCloy St was discussed with the DPW Traffic Engineering Operations Manager. Given the stadium on one side of McCloy and the freeway on the other side he decided not to recommend traffic calming at this time.
