Description

Requesting traffic calming assessment. Speed humps and other traffic furniture/traffic calming methods are needed on Freeman between Idlewood and McCloy. This road is incredibly wide, inviting speeding. Road is used as thoroughfare between Carytown and 195, lots speeding in this stretch of Freeman.

    The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Freeman Rd between Idlewood Ave and Maplewood Ave measured 22mph. The 85th percentile speed sample on Freeman Rd between Maplewood Ave and McCloy St measured 25mph. Traffic calming on Freeman is not planned at this time.
