Description
Many potholes and sink holes yet cars are driving in excess of 45 mph. Swerving and using right lanes to pass. It is out of control. Cars have driven into the grass/tree median near my house. Put a stop light in. There are 3 schools with children between Reveille, Mumford, and First Presbyterian. Its not a matter of if, but WHEN someone gets seriously injured.

The 85th percentile speed* on Coventry Rd between Cary St and Oxford Rd/Oxford Circle measured 25 mph in a 25-mph zone. Speed tables are not planned. (*The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed.) You mentioned “Put a stop light in.” DPW can review but we need the intersection where you want us to study for a stop light. Feel free to submit another RVA311 request.
