- Staff · January 10, 2025The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Bancroft Ave measured 18-mph between Richmond Henrico Turnpike and Meadowbridge Rd. The speed sample is in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned.
