Description
This intersection has become increasingly dangerous for both pedestrians and vehicle traffic. There have been multiple collisions at this location, and cars often exceed the speed limit. With a school bus stop situated here, the risk of a child being hit by a speeding car is a serious concern. Please consider making this a 4-way stop to enhance safety.

- Staff · January 14, 2025The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The latest four full years of DMV crash data (1.1.20 – 12.31.23) showed one reported crash at the intersection of S St and 27th St. The intersection of S St and N. 27th St does not currently meet the traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop.
