Description
This road is an access point to a city bus stop and for Lucille M. Brown Middle School. Kids and adults are currently walking up in down this street as a necessary part of their daily routine, and it is NOT safe. There was also a fatal accident in August 2023 at the intersection of Bliley and Cedarhurst. This entire road is a hazard for walkers, cyclists and drivers. However it remains as a crucial access road for all local to it. A sidewalk/walking path is necessary along with Speed Controls

- Staff · January 2, 2025Bliley Rd between Forest Hill Ave and Blakemore Rd has a functional class of “Urban Collector”. The Fire Marshall does not support speed tables on this strategic route for emergency vehicles. DPW contracted with a transportation consultant earlier reviewing Bliley between Forest Hill and Blakemore and made preliminary recommendations for pedestrian and bike accommodations. There are no allocations for plan development or construction in the Adopted Annual Fiscal Plan for FY2025.
