Description
Old Jahnke road is a cut through for drivers wanting to avoid stopping at the traffic signals on Jahnke Road. They speed through Old Jahnke. Old Jahnke has also become a park and go for Grand View Townhomes( we suspect). The cars block the street and park right on top of the Stop sig n. Drivers also do not stop at the Stop sign nor yield to traffic coming from Westover Gardens. It is not safe to walk or drive on this 25mph RESIDENCIAL STREET.

The 85th percentile speed sample on Old Jahnke Rd between Westover Gardens Blvd and Hioaks Rd measured 20mph in a 25mph zone. Traffic calming is not planned. A crash search from DMV did not reveal any reported crashes in the latest eight years (1.1.16 – 12.31.23) on Old Jahnke Rd between Westover Gardens Blvd and Hioaks Rd. Parking is illegal within 30 feet upon the approach to a stop sign. Contact the Richmond Police Department (804.646.5100) to report vehicles parking too close to stop signs or running stop signs.
