Description

Nickel bridge sidewalk needs to be widened or extended onto the northbound side for pedestrian and cyclist safety. I've been in an cycling accident related to the width of the sidewalk to avoid a jogger and cyclists are forced to cross the busy street on either side of the bridge to ride the correct direction of bike lane flow - an additional sidewalk on northbound lane would remove this risk.

Removing part of the roadway to expand or add sidewalks cannot be requested on RVA311. Additionally, the city sidewalk maintenance program is not able to complete sidewalk repairs on bridges.
