- Staff · November 1, 2024The Department of Public Utilities Operations Manager reviewed this matter, and his comments follow: The existing installation on Longview Road has not been modified since the culvert replacement in 2015. This replacement was carried out without any loss of the existing roadway or reduction in shoulder area. Additionally, the roadway delineators that were installed remain intact, and there is still a substantial shoulder area on both sides of the culvert at the intersection. There are also no plans for guardrail installation being no guardrails existed prior too. A crash search from DMV did not reveal any reported crashes in the latest eight years (1.1.16 – 12.31.23) at the intersection of Longview and Cooper. Traffic Engineering supports DPU’s comments.
