Description
The speed humps installed along Lakeview Ave last year, are about 70 - 75% ineffective in slowing traffic, especially eastbound traffic from the direction of South Robinson. It is a downhill gradient and this appears to encourage an increase in speed, only slowing (sometimes) to go over the speed hump. The installation of a 3-way stop at the intersection of Lakeview Ave and S Stafford Ave would likely be an effective traffic calming measure.

- Staff · October 15, 2024DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of Lakeview Ave and Stafford Ave does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop.
