People are speeding down this street during school hours. This is in a school district where there are no sidewalks. Incredibly unsafe!

- Staff · October 10, 2024The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Daytona Dr between Whitehead Rd and Stansbury Ave is 26mph. The speed sample is in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned. Forwarded your comments about the lack of sidewalks on Daytona Dr to the Department of Public Works Capital Improvement Plan Coordinator for consideration in the next Capital Improvement Plan.
