- Staff · October 7, 2024The Department of Public Works must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing a traffic signal. Currently there are no locations along Mosby St between Venable St and Princess Anne Ave that meet the MUTCD traffic signal warrants. The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Mosby St is 26mph. The speed sample is in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned. Crosswalks are not planned on Mosby at Cedar St however crosswalks exist at the Mosby and the Venable traffic signal to the north and a crosswalk exists on Princess Anne to the south near the Jefferson Park.
