Description

parking lanes on the northbound side are too close to the intersection of New Kent. Cant see oncoming traffic or turn lanes Also bike traffic needs a green crossing lane painted to the walkway side of the bridge at Evelyn Byrd

    Thank you for your concern about multimodal safety. WHB/New Kent is a signalized intersection. There's no requirement to turn right on red. If a driver can't see oncoming traffic, they should wait for the green light to proceed. The bike lane project is still under construction. The design, including parking locations, meet all appropriate City, State, and Federal guidelines. Flex posts and pavement markings (including green paint) will be part of the final project.
