Description

People go at excessive speeds on the 2300 block of Idlewood Ave. Cars also go the wrong way all day long and this creates a safety issue. This block is dangerous to people and animals. I have complained about this for years and nothing ever gets done.

The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped or yield conditions on the major street. Idlewood between where motorists yield near Grayland to where motorists stop at Shields measures about 625’. Speed tables are not planned along this section of Idlewood. The intersection of Idlewood and Addison has one DO NOT ENTER sign and two ONE WAY signs. No additional signs are planned at this time.
