Description
Requesting speed tables on Idlewood between the I-195 roundabout and Belvidere. Drivers going to the interstate from Belvidere and vice versa use Idlewood. Drivers frequently speed and drive recklessly along this stretch

- Staff · August 19, 2024The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. Given the traffic signals at Belvidere St, Laurel St and Cherry St plus the roundabout at the Downtown Expressway off ramp speed tables are not recommended on Idlewood Ave between the roundabout and Belvidere.
