Description
At Food Lion 5620 Hull Street Richmond, Va 23225. I am requesting the installation of a traffic light because it is very dangerous turning left on Hull St. It is speeding cars, other cars turning to the right heading toward Chesterfield, cars attempting to turn in to foodlion. It can take a while to turn left. I would appreciate a traffic light to prevent an awful car accident. Some folks totally disregard the posted speed. A traffic study would prove how dangerous that intersection is to biker.

- Staff · December 17, 2024The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing a traffic signal. An earlier signal study revealed the intersection of Hull St and Swanson Rd did not meet the MUTCD conditions for a traffic signal. The Hull Street project manager recently advised that another traffic signal study is not planned at this time.
