Description

We have problems with people speeding down Fulton Street. Last night a car jumped the curb, drove on our neighbor's lawn and our lawn and then back down to the street and sped away. The residents of our community would like a speed bump installed to control speeding between Admiral Gravely Blvd and Goddin Street.

DPW will request speed samples on Fulton St to determine if a speed table is justified.
  • Staff · October 17, 2024
The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed samples on Fulton St measured 18mph. The speed samples are in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned.
