Description

The traffic situation on S Street has become increasingly concerning, as it is used as a major thoroughfare connecting Oakwood to N 25th Street. Their is a serious issue with speeding due to the lack of stop signs and/or other physical traffic calming measures. A traffic assessment is desperately needed as this has become a dangerous corridor for pedestrians.

95 percent of vehicles drive between 21mph - 23mph. There is no crash data on S Street to warrant traffic calming. Stop signs are also placed at every intersection within S St. The city is undergoing a stop bar blitz campaign to increase awareness DPW will continue to monitor the area.
