Description
37th street from Hull to Midlothian half a mile with 5 cross streets with zero stops for the 37th street driver. High speed is prevalent due in part to the long stretch of roadway that has no stops and is very wide for a neighborhood street. 37th street at McRand has the highest number of crashes there. Although those crashes may never land in the database they do happen frequently. I am asking for a review of this street for neighborhood safety. I am requesting a 3 way stop at 37th and McRand.

- Staff · August 2, 2024DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. The intersection of 37th St and McRand St does not meet the MUTCD traffic requirements for an all-way stop. (A speed table exists near 207 37th St.)
