Description

While I appreciate that speed bumps have been added to Decatur street, this block is still highly trafficked and in need of more speed bumps since people disregard the speed limit. I work from home facing the street and see cars flying by all the time. Please come out here and do another assessment to see if anything can be done. If a speedbump is not feasible, could you please put a stop sign on the corner of Playn and Decatur? Thank you in advance.

Speed tables are a capital expense, and no additional speed tables are planned on Decatur St at this time. DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. The intersection of Decatur St and Playn St does not meet the MUTCD traffic requirements for an all-way stop.
