Description

Install special guard rails here. 2 shear, vertical drops of 10 feet into a boulder filled storm water channel are located at 6915 & 6912 Longview Drive. Install 2, VDOT “Special Guardrail Treatments” specified in the GRIT Manual to eliminate fall and injury risks at these two roadway sites. Report date: Thurs, 07-18-2024 / 1547. Fall risk exists for: children on school busses; Marathon participants; Emergency 1st Responders; RVA residents; JRPS motorists, USPS and carriers all travel here.

    This is not a sidewalk or handicap ramp repair issue. There is no sidewalk at this location. The city sidewalk maintenance program only does repairs on existing sidewalks.
