Description
The current design of the roundabout at this intersection is problematic, leading to almost daily accidents. Uneven roads and ignored street markings exacerbate the danger. The absence of sidewalks along S Street forces pedestrians into this hazardous area. To enhance safety for both vehicles and pedestrians, a larger, redesigned roundabout and curb bump-outs are urgently needed.

- Staff · July 11, 2025Since 2018, there has only been one severe injury at this intersection. S St from this intersection and westward is also on the high injury network. A Work order has been put in to restripe the pavement markings on S St and add Chevrons for the traffic circle to increase driver awareness.
