Description
Carlisle Ave is used as a cut through from Government Rd. We often see cars moving at extreme speeds up the hill or going the wrong way down the street. There are few sidewalks. Locals walk in the street. Children and animals cross Carlisle regularly. Strategically placed speed bumps near the bottom of the hill could slow traffic as it turns off of Government. One-way signs placed at the intersections of Carlisle and Waverly Ave. could help with cars coming down the Carlisle the wrong way.

- Staff · July 11, 2024Two One Way signs exist now at Carlisle Ave and Waverly Ave. Speed samples will we obtained to determine the need for speed tables.
- Staff · September 30, 2024The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Carlisle Ave between Parker St and Waverly Ave measured 28mph. The speed sample is in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned.
