Description
The timing of the traffic lights at the intersection of Brook Road and Brookland Parkway favor Brook Road traffic by giving more time for N/S traffic than E/W traffic. However, the traffic volume on Brookland Parkway is about 2 to 3 times more than on Brook Road, especially during rush-hour because Brookland Parkway is a thoroughfare to Mechanicsville Turnpike. Please reset the timers at this intersection!

We have been occasionally monitoring traffic at the intersection of Brook Road and Brookland Parkway and will soon be retiming the signals to improve the northbound left-turn (NBLT) movement. All other approaches currently maintain acceptable levels of service. I am closing this request for now, but we will continue to monitor traffic conditions at this location periodically.
