Description

There have been several accidents on this part of the W. 48th street. Please look up police reports. We are requesting speed humps if possible. Sometimes drivers leave O'Tool's bar intoxicated and hit the parked cars. Sometimes cars fly over the round-about. You have your crew paving the streets in this neighborhood now. Speed hump can prevent a lot of accidents.

The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. 48th St between the stop sign at Forest Hill Ave and the traffic circle at Dunston St measures approximately 600’. Speed tables are not planned.
