Description
Requesting a calming assessment and/or speed hump. Cars speed between Floyd and Grove often trying to beat the signal on Grove. There are a number of families with small kids and elderly folks on this road. A couple of cars have also been side swiped in the recent past. A speed bump would greatly help.

- Staff · July 8, 2024The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. Belmont Ave between Grove Ave and Floyd Ave measures approximately 400’. Belmont has a traffic signal at Grove and a traffic circle at Floyd. Speed tables are not planned.
