Description
Drivers traveling between Garber and Campbell go 40+ mph on this section of Garber when passing through. Pedestrian-injury risk: There are no sidewalks here so people are forced to walk in this part of road. Property risk: The sharp turn makes the cars/homes highly vulnerable when a reckless driver loses control at the sharp turn. Good neighbor behavior: It’s loud and obnoxious to the residents on this block. We can’t make people be considerate to others, but can make it harder to be a nuisance.

- Staff · July 5, 2024A five-year crash history via DMV revealed no reported pedestrian crashes along the Garber corridor. Garber between Campbell and Northampton measures about 2300’. Garber stops at Waverly, Arcadia, Scott and Northampton therefore, speed tables are not planned. The Garber and Campbell intersection have curve warning ahead signs with an advisory speed of 10mph in each direction. No additional signing is planned. Forwarded a request in October 2023 for sidewalks to the Department of Public Works’ Capital Improvement Plan Coordinator for consideration in the next Capital Improvement Plan.
