Description
Tuckaway - Ellwood House (daycare facility) is located here, and there is nothing to indicate this at all. While the speed limit is 25 on Ellwood, cars go flying down the street with no regard for that. There is no crosswalk, no school signage, no stop sign, no speed hump - nothing to indicate this is a high foot traffic area for families. Once in a while, there's a "Stop for pedestrians" sign in the middle of Ellwood, and without fail, that sign has been driven over and flattened the same day.

- Staff · September 5, 2024Ellwood Avenue is on the City's High Injury Network and a priority for speed management. Marked crosswalks are in place at intersections on either side of the daycare facility. In addition, a speed feedback sign has been operating nearby to alert drivers of their speed.
