DPW will collect speed samples on Cutshaw Ave to determine if a traffic calming measure such as a speed table is needed. All speed samples are outsourced so it may take a few months before we receive the data.

The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Cutshaw Ave between Thompson St and Broad St measured 22mph. The speed sample is in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned.
