Adequate gaps in vehicular traffic are present in this block for people to cross, and the most recent crash history reviewed did not reveal any pedestrian crashes. Virginia law treats all intersections the same whether marked or unmarked as the driver is required to stop. A speed feedback sign was recently installed on Mechanicsville Turnpike at Phaup Street.
