Description

A four way stop sign would enhance safety precautions at the intersection of Stuart Ave and Ripley Ave 23226. There are cars that speed very fast down Ripley Ave, and there are plenty of neighbors walking, walking pets, strolling or biking with children in the area who have to pay extra close attention to make sure no speeders are flying through. .

DPW must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of Ripley Ave and Stuart Ave does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop.
