Description
The roadway of Southcliff is heavily used by pedestrians because our street doesn’t have sidewalks and the right-of-way is lined with mature trees. Additionally the road has poor visibility due to a blind crest of the hill along with car parking on both sides of the street. Residents request multiple speed bumps, a stop sign, and reduced speed to 15mph. Diagram and letter attached.

Comments
- Staff · June 7, 2024Cityworks ID: 531267
- Staff · June 10, 2024The Fire Marshall does not support traffic calming measures on Southcliff Rd between New Kent Ave and Riverside Dr because this is a strategic street for emergency vehicles between these two corridors. DPW will ensure 25mph signs are posted in each travel direction.
