Description

Please install a speed hump. People regularly drive down the street at hogh speeds. We also need the huge do not enter sogns at the intersection of Hanes Avenue with Brookland Park Avenue. People drive the wrong way down Hanes Avenue on a regular basis.

    The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on Hanes Ave for a 48-hour period was 28 mph. This sample is in compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets. We do not have plans to install speed tables. Hanes Ave at Brookland Park Blvd has two One-Way signs and one Do Not Enter sign. Additional signs are not currently planned.
