Description
This roundabout is extremely unprotected for pedestrians and is highly trafficked by both people and cars. The crosswalk paint on the road is faded and incomplete. I routinely almost get hit crossing the street and recently had a man exit his car in the traffic circle to yell at me about breaking the law. It is a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured. We need to keep up infrastructure and consider true urban design in order to make things safe for everyone in walkable spaces.

- Staff · October 2, 2024New Jefferson Avenue improvement projects are in progress. The scope of work includes traffic calming, pedestrian improvements, green infrastructure, landscaping plus other multimodal improvements. They will be designed and built as funding is provided. In the interim DPW will continue to make sure proper signs and markings are present.
