Description

Since repaying my road, traffic speed has increased exponentially. My neighborhood is mostly elderly with a few young families with very young children. I’m requesting speed humps be installed. It is not safe, now, for taking a leisurely walk in the neighborhood. I requested speed humps two years ago this month. Traffic, since then, has only gotten worse. Thank you for your help.

The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on Lansdale Rd for a 48-hour period was 28 mph. This sample is in compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets. We do not have plans to install speed tables on Lansdale Rd at this time.
