Description

Speed bumps please. They are being installed all over town. Ford Ave is being used as a cut through along with a lot of high speed traffic. High pedestrian traffic, kids, etc make this wreckless behavior even more dangerous. It's irresponsible to not do something about this high speed through traffic. Post police at either stop sign for further proof. Thank you!!

The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. Speed tables are not planned on Ford Ave given the all-way stops at three intersections between Fairfield Way and Mechanicville Turnpike. Contact the Richmond Police Department about enforcing stopping at the stop signs.
