Description

1- 2 Speed bumps need to be installed on this block. There are 3 residents on the same block who have children under 5 yrs old, infants and a special needs child who need a safe block. Cars race up Bancroft Ave (a one way street) at speeds of 40-50 mph regularly. PLEASE INSTALL at LEAST 1 SPEED BUMP for the safety of our children.

    Speed samples will be taken on Bancroft Ave to determine if a speed table is needed.

    The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed sample on Bancroft Ave measured 26mph. The speed sample is in general compliance with the 25-mph speed for residential streets and speed tables are not planned.
