- Staff · March 25, 2024The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section (straight section) without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. The curvy section roughly between Mimosa St and 1614 Gunn St is posted with curve warning signs at a maximum safe speed of 15mph in each travel direction. The section between 1614 Gunn St and Royal Ave is approximately 850’ or less than the 1200’ minimum length for installing a speed table. This section of Gunn St is posted at 25mph in each direction of travel. Speed tables are not currently planned.
