Description

The intersection of parkwood and south stafford has several near misses every day. People accelerate really fast on S stafford ave since there is only parking on one side of the road so the road is wide. Trying to turn from parkwood either direction on south stafford is really tough with visibility obscured by parked cars. I live here and hear people laying in the horn often to prevent crashes, and have seen a couple crashes here. I think it needs a 3 way stop sign.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The latest eight-year DMV crash history showed one reported crash at Stafford Ave at Parkwood Ave. This intersection does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop. No Parking signs exist on both sides of Stafford at Parkwood. No additional measures are planned.
